Elías Querejeta was born on October 27, 1934 in Hernani, Guipúzcoa, País Vasco, Spain as Elías Querejeta Gárate. He was a producer, director and writer, known for A través de San Sebastián (1960), The City of Lost Children (1995), Stories from the Kronen (1995), Mondays in the Sun (2002) and Seven Billiard Tables (2007). He was married to the costume designer Maiki Marín and his daughter is the director/ writer Gracia Querejeta. He died on June 9, 2013 in Madrid, Spain.
