Henny Lindorff Buckhøj

Henny Lindorff Buckhøj var datter af skuespiller Axel Larsen (død 1940) og hustru Else Christiansen (død 1941). Hun læste hos kgl. skuespillerinde Soffy Walléen i 2 år og debuterede som skuespiller i september 1920 hos Jacob Jacobsen på Horsens Teater i forestillingen "Skal - skal ikke" og kom siden til Aalborg Teater, hvor hun havde rollen som husassistenten i "Den ny husassistent". Hun var 1922-23 en meget benyttet kraft hos Thorvald Larsen, hos Gerda Christophersen 1923-24 og Thorvald Larsen igen 1924-27 og blev af ham engageret til Odense Teater 1927-29. I årene 1929-31 spillede hun på Betty Nansen Teatret og var derefter 10 år på Aarhus Teater fra 1931 til 1941, hvor hun havde mange hovedroller bl.a. som Sara Levin i "Indenfor murene". Det vakte opmærksomhed i pressen, da ægteparret Per Buckhøj og Henny Lindorff i februar 1941 modtog en opsigelse fra Aarhus Teater. Derefter kom hun igen til Odense Teater 1942-43 og vendte i 1943 tilbage til hovedstaden, hvor hun fik sit come-back i "Stjernevognen". Hun spillede på forskellige københavnske scener, bl.a. 1943 og 1945-46 på Frederiksberg Teater og på Allé-Scenen. Fra 1948 var hun free lance ved teater, film og radio. Hun havde mange store roller i Radioteatret. På film medvirkede hun bl.a. i "Ditte menneskebarn". Henny Lindorff Buckhøj blev i sit andet ægteskab gift den 1. maj 1933 med skuespilleren Per Buckhøj og er mor til skuespilleren Jørgen Buckhøj. Hun er søster til skuespillerinden Bodil Lindorff.
