Aritra Mukherjee has almost 13 years of experience in the Bengali Television and Motion Film Industry. He was born and brought up in Santiniketan, and was attracted to the creative arts during his childhood itself. After completing graduation in History, he worked his way up from the grassroot level. He has worked in television programs like Bouma, Daakbabu, and Prathama. He has assisted his mentors in films like Mukhtodhara, Alikh Sukh, Ramdhanu, Posto, Belasheshe, Haami, Praktan Konttho, Gotro, and Belashuru. Auto No. 9696 (2015) is his first film as a director.
