Zhao Yuan (formerly known as Zhao Xiaowan) was a Chinese actress and director. Her father, Zhao Juechu, was a doctor and was once the director of the 16th Military Hospital of the National Army. When she was young, she changed jobs with her father, went to elementary school in Nanjing, Changzhou, Jiangsu, and then moved to Wuhan, Guilin, and other places. In May 1940, he joined the Second Anti-Japanese Drama Team (later the Ninth Team) and changed his name to Zhao Yuan.
